Time to talk about Gram & Emmylou, I think.

Gram saw Emmylou perform in a club in Washington, D.C. in 1972, shortly after leaving England/Keith Richards.  By the fall of 1973 she was his regular duet partner & he had recorded the solo album he’d been wanting for so long (G.P.) with her help.

In fact he recorded TWO albums, the second being the iconic Grievous Angel.  Unfortunately they were the last two, since he died in September of that same year.

Emmylou went on to have her own very successful career (which we’ll definitely discuss at some point), including an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame- an honor that her mentor still hasn’t recieved.
